The Digital Feature Film Programme is uniquely designed for individuals who wish to undergo a highly vocational and industry focused training and education as contemporary fi lmmakers. In 8 months students shoot a feature fi lm, as far as we are aware it is the only course of it’s kind in the world.
This professional programme is designed for individuals with passion, creativity, determination and a real commitment to gaining a lasting career as a storyteller in fi lm. It provides students with a very unique opportunity to gain fi rst hand experience of what it takes to make a feature film. Students form part of a small tight knit production team with one shared goal; to craft a poignant and moving feature fi lm. Industry experts will be working with you, encouraging and guiding a small group of passionate and specially selected students to make a fi lm to take to festivals.
The Digital Feature Film programme is totally unique and provides you with the opportunity to learn all the stages of lmmaking through doing. Students will undertake a substantial number of practical, creative and technical workshops in groups or sub-groups and will then be asked to put their knowledge into practice. The course is fast, intensive and absorbing. Our key goal is to give students the tools, the mindset and the support they need to make it in the real world. By the end of the programme students will have evolved professionally, worked with industry leaders, have a feature film experience, a career plan and a showreel of their work, as well as a feature lm which will be taken to film festivals. This is a distinctive feature of Afilm programmes.
