We’re pleased to share that Afilm Screenwriting Instructor Joan Alvarez joins The Supers team! Joan has worked on projects with directors such as Antonio Giménez-Rico, Ángel Alonso, Mario Camus, Benito Rabal, Carlos Gil & Yolanda Torres, amongst others.
Produced by Afilm, he co-wrote / co-directed the feature films Leaving Hotel Romantic, The Afterglow & wrote the feature “The Forsaken”, all premiering at the SITGES Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya.
Joan is also the Creative Director at frequent Afilm collaborator Barcelona production company, The BAD CAT Company, where he develops the creativity for & directs adverts for such brands as Esteve, PPG, Zopo, Grupo Planeta & Audi, amongst others.

We welcome back British actor Ian Breeds as he embarks on his 3rd Afilm feature film adventure, this time stepping into the wrinkled suit of Bob Factotum in The Supers, Civil Servant at the Chamber of Justice, who has always dreamed of being a superhero.
Represented by Actors One Agency, Ian previously starred in the Afilm features “The Afterglow”, “The Forsaken” and the short film “Lost Night Barcelona”.
