ASSISTANT DIRECTOR WORKSHOP
Afilm offers intensive Assistant Director Workshops, where students train using EP Movie Magic software, including Scheduling MMS. This unique, professional Assistant Director workshop is designed for individuals with a passion for the craft of Assistant Directing, including First Assistant Director, Second Assistant Director and Second Second Assistant Director, though also recommended for filmmakers, directors, producers, a well as television and advertising crew members who wish to gain knowledge into the world of cinema. It provides you with a unique opportunity to gain first hand assistant directing experience.
Afilm students in the advanced Digital Feature Film programme train on EP Movie Magic Scheduling and Budgeting as part of their professionalfeature film training.
This professional programme is designed for individuals with passion, creativity, determination and a real commitment to gaining a lasting career as a storyteller in fi lm. It provides you with a very unique opportunity to gain fi rst hand experience of what it takes to make a feature film. For the next eight months you will form part of a small tight knit production team with one shared goal; to craft a poignant and moving feature fi lm. Industry experts will be working with you, encouraging and guiding a small group of passionate and specially selected students to make a fi lm to take to festivals. The fi lm will be shot on location in and around the stunning cities of Barcelona and Sitges, working both outdoors and with controlled light conditions indoors. You will be part of an international team that is taken on a journey through the art of Directing / Producing / Cinematography / Screenwriting / Production Design / Editing and Sound.
