Sarah Tyler Shaw is a British stage and screen actress and acting tutor with diverse experience in both theatre and film. Sarah studied at The Court Theatre Training Company, London where she received a BA(Hons) in Acting. Upon graduating Sarah co-founded Quint-Essential Creations a theatre company, producing original in-house plays written by fellow co-founder actor and director Ian Breeds.

Sarah has been cast in every QUINT-ESSENTIAL stage production since the company was founded in 2011. Sarah starred in Q-E’s one-woman show The Tea Party which premiered at the London Horror Festival, and will now be adapted for the screen. Sarah also played the role of Billeting Officer Brenda in the WW2 Ghost Story The Evacuee. The Evacuee ran for 3 weeks at The Chelsea Theatre, London receiving fantastic reviews from such publications as TimeOut and Everything Theatre.

Sarah’s other theatre credits include; The Dark Tales Dir. Ian Breeds- North London Fringe Tour, The Strangeness of Others Dir. Howard Ross, The House of Bernarda Alba, Blood Wedding Dir. Massimo Marinoni & The Fire Raisers Dir. Jeremy Young.

In 2012 Sarah took the lead role of River Miller in the independent feature film Dancing Dogs. The movie, which was shot in Sitges, Spain and produced by Afilm International, was selected for the Special Sessions at The Sitges International Film Festival and premiered at the Festival in October 2012. Sarah was invited back to Spain to take the lead role of Leila Evans in the short movie Leila + Morris. Again the short was accepted to the Sitges International Film Festival and was also accepted in the Sandfly Film Festival through which the movie was screened in Australia, New York & Berlin.

In 2014 Sarah decided to relocate to Spain – this year she starred in The Afterglow a feature film in which she was cast in the emotional role of suffering Leukaemia patient Helena Murray. This was followed by shooting on The Forsaken a feature film in which Sarah took on the role of mercenary Mrs Peel. The Forsaken premiered at the 48th Annual Sitges – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia.
