ASSISTANT DIRECTOR WORKSHOP
afilm presents an intensive, hands-on ASSISTANT DIRECTOR Workshop (First Assistant Director, Second Assistant Director, Second Second Assistant Director). This four day Workshop is designed for learning all of the responsibilities of the Assistant Director, as well as training (with an emphasis on cinema).
The Workshop is designed for, but not limited to, film students, independent directors, production assistants, a well as television and advertising crew members who wish to gain knowledge into the world of cinema.
The Workshop will consist of lectures, demonstrations and Movie Magic Scheduling software training, followed by a series of practical exercises (shoot simulations), which will seek to recreate the working pressure of a real-life set.

-Crew communication and Responsibilities -Crew Breakdown -Cast breakdown
-Casting Preparation -Script format -Shooting schedule theory -Set procedure/ behavior
-Set security -Shooting schedule -Call Sheet -Citations -Directing Extras
-Basic shooting rules (axis) -Floor plans -Storyboards -Shot lists
E.P. MOVIE MAGIC will be used for all shooting schedules/ planning. The Workshop will be led by ex- Oscar-award winning Director Jose Luis Garci and Roger Corman studio Assistant Director and a Movie Magic specialist.
